These semi-abstract painting studies were inspired by the vibrant blues and greens and lilacs of a view out over tropical summertime waters. Each piece began as an abstract color study painted in watercolor and dotted with ink, on top of which an abstract landscape was blocked out in tape and acrylic paint. This technique gives each painting the unique effect of coming into focus on the landscape composition. Painted with love.
